In 2023, a special alignment occurs as both Diwali and Guy Fawkes Night fall within days of each other. This year’s Fireworks Display is set to be a unique celebration of both Diwali and Guy Fawkes Night, merging the Festival of Light with the cherished tradition of Bonfire Night. The evening promises a rich tapestry of thrilling entertainment, mouthwatering culinary delights, bustling shopping stalls, sponsors, and a vibrant burst of colors.
For those who hold Bonfire Night close to their hearts, we’re bringing back our full-scale funfair and an eclectic culinary selection. You can savor delicious treats such as fish and chips, jacket potatoes, carvery, burgers, hog roast, Mexican and Indian cuisine, and more. In addition to this, our event will feature a comprehensive fun fair, shopping zone, and a live DJ. The apex of the evening will be a pyro-musical synchronized to movie-themed music, ensuring a mesmerizing experience.
The gates to the event will gracefully open at 12 pm, with free admission until 3 pm, after which a nominal fee will apply. The pre-show will commence around 7:45 pm, building anticipation for our spectacular fireworks display set to the backdrop of movie music. To secure a prime viewing spot and savor the daytime entertainment, we strongly recommend arriving early. Anticipate crowds gathering from 6:30 pm, especially if you’re bringing children along.
As the largest fireworks display event in the region and beyond, our event promises an entire day of fun and entertainment for both local residents and visitors. From local produce stalls and market street businesses to our full-scale funfair, we’ve curated an unforgettable experience for everyone. The evening culminates in a breathtaking 20-minute fireworks display, creatively themed to movie music, offering delightful surprises along the way.
Harrow Fireworks, produced by Harrow Events, is more than just a fireworks show; it is an opportunity to create cherished memories for families and unite the community.
In the UK, Bonfire Night carries historical significance, tracing its roots back to the infamous gunpowder plot of 1605. It is a time-honored tradition celebrated with fireworks, bonfires, and a spirit of togetherness. Our event also pays tribute to the Diwali Festival of Light, which holds immense importance for the Indian community in Harrow, Brent, and Wembley. Diwali represents the victory of light over darkness, and we honor this beautiful celebration with Indian Mela and shopping stands, as well as a delectable array of Indian-style food stalls.
For food enthusiasts, we offer a diverse mix of dining options, from mouthwatering burgers to comforting jacket potatoes, classic fish & chips, and succulent hog roast. And that’s not all; you’ll find traditional arts and crafts, face painting stands, and much more.
